Wellington Point Cricket Club is proud to have received a $3,000 grant from Redland City Council, put toward building our new club website.
This kind of support makes a real difference for a volunteer-run club like ours, and we wanted to take a moment to say thanks properly.
The new website gives our players, families and the wider Wellington Point community a much easier way to stay across fixtures, results, club news and everything else happening at WPCC. It's also a better front door for anyone in the area looking to get involved in local cricket, whether that's junior sign-ups, senior teams, or volunteers keen to help out.
Grants like this one matter well beyond the dollar figure. They're a sign that Council backs the community groups doing the day-to-day work of keeping local sport running, from junior coaching to weekend fixtures to the countless volunteer hours that go on behind the scenes.
On behalf of everyone at Wellington Point Cricket Club, thank you to Redland City Council for the grant and for continuing to support grassroots sport in the Redlands.
